Many customers have asked about which PCB design software to use in order to be able to order their printed circuit boards from BasicPCB.  You can use any layout software of your choice as long as you can export your project in Gerber format to order from BasicPCB.

RS Components offers a free PCB design software that allows users to export their printed circuit board project to Gerber format.  The software can be downloaded for free, but users have to register to the DesignSpark website in order to use the software.

The DesignSpark website mentions that their software “specially designed for rapid prototyping and turning your circuit ideas into testable boards faster. It is offered free of charge for companies, hobbyists, educators and more.”
